the hands of a competent operator it becomes an extremely efficient
tool and the basis for most of an Arborists hands on work. In the hands
of someone untrained, it quickly becomes the third most common
hand tool in the world for personal injury!
A well maintained saw is essential, as is safe operations and constant
awareness of what you have in your hands. This course will take you
through the correct procedures to ensure safe operations at all times.
You will learn about the reactive forces that saws exert, how to keep
your tool sharp and in tip top condition, the importance of cleanliness
and the limitations of what should be placed on the huge range of
machines available.
PPE (personal protective equipment) plays a very big part here, along
with a range of pre-operational checks on your tools, where you will
be working and what you will be working on. At the end of the training
you will have a sound respect and appreciation of the amazing benefits
chainsaws have to offer.
